Dr. Daniel G. Blumenfeld

Dr. Daniel G. Blumenfeld has been a practicing ophthalmologist in El Paso since 1995.  He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, and attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas from 1983 to 1997.  Dr. Blumenfeld completed his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix, Arizona in 1992, and his residency in ophthalmology in 1995 at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  He is currently an assistant professor at Texas Tech Health Science Center in El Paso, Texas.  His knowledge is complemented with research experience on:  The Effects of Anisometropia on Stereopsis and the Monofixation (1992-1995) and Smoking and Graves' Ophthalmology (1990- 1991). Dr Blumenfeld is well respected by his colleagues and in the community.  He is a current member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Medical Association, El Paso County Medical Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Texas Ophthalmology Association and the Texas Medical Foundation.  His special interests include cataract surgery, corneal transplants and contact lenses.
